Indigenous Communities
Nordik also partners with the Government of Canada to provide nursing services to 25 of the Indigenous Communities within the Province of Ontario. Working in a small nursing station, each day is different and exciting, allowing you to work to the full scope of your nursing ability. A general day could see you start with a child with an earache and finish with an emergency Medivac. We offer our 2 weeks online Nordik Training Programme to help ensure that you are fully prepared for your time in the communities.
English is mainly spoken there as a common language, but some communities have their own language. These requests have an average of 2 weeks & are so off the beaten track that most communities are fly-in only.
If you’re craving the idea of mingling with small communities that are way off the tourist path, where family spirit and breathtaking landscapes are king and queen, Ontario is the right destination for you ! Apply for a unique and exciting nursing job.
