Respiratory therapists help
physicians diagnose, treat, and care for patients with respiratory and
cardiopulmonary conditions. Cardiovascular perfusionists provide technical
assistance to patients undergoing heart surgery, as well as patients who
require respiratory or circulatory support. Cardiopulmonary technologists
assist physicians with the technical aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of
cardiopulmonary and respiratory diseases. Respiratory therapists work in
hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health centers and companies that
provide home respiratory therapy services. Cardiovascular perfusionists and
cardiopulmonary technologists primarily work in hospital settings. This unit
group includes supervisors and trainers in respiratory therapy, cardiovascular
perfusion and cardiopulmonary technology.

Requirements:
To work as a physiotherapist with
an agency, you must meet the following requirements:
· Be a member of the professional order of
physiotherapy of Quebec
· Hold a university degree in physiotherapy
· Have up-to-date PDSB training,
· Have completed training on the Omega approach and
on the use of control and isolation measures
· At least 2 years of experience in the field
