Does Nordik offer nursing mandates in Northern Ontario or Manitoba?
Yes, Nordik works with Indigenous Services Canada to meet the nursing needs of First Nations communities in Northern Ontario or Manitoba. We also have openings in Quebec, Alberta and Nunavut.
Are some communities accessible by car or located closer to major urban centers?
Yes, some mandates are available in communities within a 4-hour drive of Toronto or Winnipeg. They are accessible by car, provided you are careful about winter conditions.
I used to work with another company for equivalent mandates in the Great North. Can I apply at Nordik?
Of course! Anytime you are ready for a new adventure, you are welcome to apply. Together, we will discuss your qualifications to make sure they are still valid for application. You’ll love our human approach!
Why should I join Nordik? What makes you different?
Our large family is exclusively specialized in the Great North. We don’t do anything else, and we have a deep understanding of these mandates’ reality. We will help you find the mission best suited to your needs, prepare you for your departure, support you during your first steps in remote areas and receive your photos! We’ve been working in the North since 2012. Our Nordik Experience Director is a nurse and has worked all over the North. We will be there for you every step of the way!
I want to start a new adventure with you, but I don't have all the necessary qualifications or certifications. Can you help me?
Yes, of course! Send us your resume, and our recruitment team will plan a virtual meeting with you. We’ll find solutions to complete the missing and most important certifications for your application.
I have expanded role training. Is this training an asset for mandates with Indigenous Services Canada?
Expanded role training is not a prerequisite, but it will certainly be helpful on the job. We can make a special note of it for your application.
I do not have a license in Ontario or Manitoba. Is my license from another province sufficient to apply?
You will need to apply for a license equivalency from the Province of Ontario or Manitoba. We can help you do this; it’s simpler than it sounds!
How long do mandates last?
Missions generally last from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the community’s remoteness.
Who takes care of logistics and accommodations?
Our dispatch team takes care of your transportation and accommodations. All you have to do is pack your suitcase and your professional equipment, and we will take care of the rest.
